KWS SAAT relies on SCRIBOS solutions in the fight against grey market trading and counterfeiting. With the help of VeoMark® security labels, RFID transponders, and the integration of the SCRIBOS 360 digital platform, the movement of KWS’s goods can be precisely tracked.

The challenge

KWS Saat SE & Co. KGaA, headquartered in Einbeck (Lower Saxony), is one of the world's largest premium seed manufacturers for agricultural crops and employs around 6,000 people in more than seventy countries.
They face two big challenges in regards to their business:
Firstly, KWS heavily relies on a reward scheme that encourages dealers and suppliers to stick to designated distribution areas.
Secondly, seeds are generally considered an easy product to counterfeit, as their authenticity is difficult to verify even by experts.

Our solution

Our cutting-edge digital platform SCRIBOS 360 gives KWS exactly the solution it needs to tackle these obstacles: Security and control mechanisms can be linked with enticing incentives and marketing measures.  
Our serialised VeoMark® label, paired with RFID tags, provide the required level of security on the product itself. Before delivery, seed bags are passed through RFID gates, which are digitally linked with the order data stored in SCRIBOS 360. This guarantees their origin and authenticity.

The benefits

The implementation of our solution resulted in a significant improvement in KWS's warehouse and transport management, resulting in a comprehensive understanding of the movement of goods across diverse markets.
